a new copper legacy.

Camden Copper is the only North American manufacturer of copper foil, proudly based in Kershaw County, South Carolina. The operations were established at the current site in 1991. In April 2025, they were acquired by Principal Mineral to form Camden Copper.

domestic Manufacturing leadership

In today’s global landscape, tariffs and international trade dynamics place a premium on American-made products. By producing foil entirely in the U.S. from U.S.-sourced materials, Camden Copper is uniquely positioned to benefit from such dynamics while ensuring national security through essential defense manufacturing.

A Vision for Growth

More than a manufacturing plant, Camden Copper stands as a catalyst for economic growth in Kershaw County. With strong community support and a focus on future expansion, we are committed to delivering long-term value and helping drive regional prosperity.

Quality, resilience, and reliability

We’re committed to producing high-quality, recycled copper foil used in critical applications—most notably in circuit boards for the Department of Defense and a range of other industries. Our mission is to strengthen American supply chains by sourcing materials domestically, manufacturing on U.S. soil, and ensuring job security within our local community.

Community & Employment

Camden Copper actively seeks to play an important role in the local economy by preserving and creating stable manufacturing jobs. As a rooted employer in the region, we are focused on long-term growth and providing career opportunities that support families and build community pride.
